So I started charging hourly - because that felt "safe".

Within my first month, I was making $2,400 - enough to quit my nanny job.

But I had a TON of clients.

I was managing everyone's schedules, setting timers, juggling requests, completely overwhelmed.

And I knew the work I was doing was worth way more than just an hourly paycheck.

That's when I realized...

I'm getting paid for my TIME, not my VALUE.

Everything changed when I figured out how to identify

MY specific profitable services

the ones based on what I was actually good at, not what I thought I "should" offer.

I switched to retainers. I repositioned myself. I stopped being a generalist doing everything for everyone.

First month: $2,400/month (but with too many clients, charging hourly)
After repositioning with retainers: $5k months with FEWER clients
With solid retainer packages: $10k months

And when my babies came? I was THERE.

Every bedtime. Every first. Every moment.

I built my business with a baby literally on my hip. Through contact naps. While she slept on my chest.

I remember the moment after my first daughter was born, realizing:

"Wow. I did this. I get to be WITH her and work on MY time. This is what I prayed for."
